Cable assemblies usually require some form of length adjustment to allow correct installation. Tensioners, often referred to as turnbuckles or rigging screws, allow this to be done without turning the cable.
Tensioners can be supplied with machine fit swage terminals or self-assembly compression terminals. Swaging is typically done in a controlled factory environment, however some projects such as cable rail/ balustrade in-fill can be done on site, with a small portable press. Self-assembly compression terminals can be installed on any size of cable on site without the need of a press.
We can supply swaging machines and dies, please contact us for details.
NOTE: Throughout our documentation we use the following convention - the pin size is the smallest diameter hole that our pin will fit through, the hole size is the largest diameter pin that will fit in the hole. For example, if we list a pin as being 12mm then it will fit into a 12mm diameter hole and conversely if we list a hole as being 16mm then a 16mm diameter pin with fit through it. If in doubt please ask.
